Biography
Dr. René Böttcher studied Materials Science & Engineering and consecutively completed his doctorate at the Technische Universität Ilmenau, Germany, in electrochemistry and electroplating in 2021, developing processes for the electrodeposition of aluminium alloys for cathodic corrosion protection of high-strength steel for the aerospace industry in collaboration with Airbus. Since 2022 he works as a scientist in the materials domain of Airbus Central R&T with a focus on modelling and simulation for surface technology.
