Description
CIDETEC is a research centre specialised in surface treatments located in San Sebastian, Spain. The centre has well-equipped laboratories for the characterisation of surfaces together with pilot plants for the scaling up of treatments. Its main lines of research for the aeronautical sector are: E-coating as an alternative to spray primers on aluminium, self-standing device for selective anodisation, insect mitigation coatings for leading edges, post-processing of heat exchangers made by additive manufacturing, High protective Sol-Gel formulation, acoustic emission for early corrosion detection under paints and High Performance Thermoplastic metallisation.
