Description

Olivier Brucelle has gained a large experience over 30 years in Materials and Processes trough positions in several Companies, engineer in the research center of Usinor Sacilor (now Arcelor Mittal), research engineer in fuel division at AREVA, head of metallurgy department at the forging division of Aubert & Duval in Pamiers. Olivier joined COLLINS AEROSPACE (Ratier-Figeac) in 2008 as head of metallic materials and special processes. During his time with COLLINS AEROSPACE, he has launched more than 15 R&D projects on several topics hexavalent chromium substitution on surface treatment, additive manufacturing, and surface hardening. Olivier has made important contributions in the areas of development of non-hexavalent chromium protection for aluminium alloys. In 2016 Olivier has been inducted Fellow Materials & Processes at COLLINS AEROSPACE. Since 2021 Olivier lead the R&T on Materials & Processes at Ratier-Figeac site. During his career Olivier has contributed 25+ scientific publications, he has 4 patents, and won the 2019 Environmental Excellence in Transportation (E2T) Award from the SAE. Olivier holds a degree from the French engineering university, Ecole des Mines d’Albi, and a PhD from Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse. His thesis dealt with studying microstructure corrosion relationship for the Inconel 718 in Power Water Reactor simulated media
