Description
Karen Schultz is a Technical Fellow for Boeing Research & Technology in Seattle, Washington, where she has focused on developing next generation coating and sealant technologies. Key projects have included the development of accelerated cure polyurethane coatings and surface preparation techniques for finishing thermoplastic composites, as well as test methodologies for rapid assessment of coating and composite durability. Prior to joining Boeing, Karen worked for Johnson & Johnson, in the areas of pharmaceutical and medical device formulation development, and later joined Semprus BioSciences, where she led the Polymer Characterization and Analytical Sciences group. Karen has a BS in Chemistry from Valparaiso University and a PhD in Materials Chemistry from the University of Minnesota.
