Biography
Julian Geissler is working at Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth, Germany as a materials and processes engineer in the laboratory for materials and processes (LMP) for 5 years. In his previous position in the field of helicopter maintenance, he developed a deep knowledge of helicopter architecture and a customer-oriented focus. His technical perimeter covers materials for operational needs, such as lubricants, de-icing fluids and cleaners / degreasers. By striving for reduction of Volatile Organic Content (VOC) emissions, one part of his challenge is to substitute solvent degreasers by VOC-free alternatives. Today he is going to present a project at Airbus Helicopters Germany in which a VOC-free degreaser was implemented for surface preparation prior to painting.
