Biography
Loïc Exbrayat has been working at SafranTech since 2017 as R&T engineer in the field of coatings and surface treatments. After studying materials chemistry at Sigma Clermont (Dipl.-Ing.), le received his PhD in materials science from La Rochelle University (France) in 2014, with a PhD thesis topic focused on electrodeposition of sacrificial nanocomposite coatings for corrosion protection. Then he was a post-doctoral researcher in Max Planck Institutes (MPIP Mainz & MPIE Düsseldorf, Germany) in a collaborative project funded by Arianegroup on the development of smartcoatings for corrosion detection and protection.
He is now involved in several collaborative projects at IRTM2P surface treatment platform located in Duppigheim closed to Strasbourg (France) especially on surface finishing of additive layer manufacturing parts topics such as NEMO project (NExt alM finishing processes).
